BIOGRAPHY
Jonathan Dy is a photographer with a background in painting. The grit of his factory hometown Windsor, Ontario, and influence of its American counterpart, Detroit, has uniquely shaped his artistic pallet.
Primarily self-taught, JD is known for creative in-camera techniques that are reminiscent of early surrealist photography.
He published his first book of portraits in 2013 focusing on artists and musicians, I NEED TO SEE YOU. His second book, EYE ON THE GROUND (reflections in water) was published in 2021.
He is based in Vancouver, BC.
